Welcome to Granite Ridge Kennels
American & British Labradors
| Granite Ridge Kennels is owned and operated by
Pete and Kathie Bollenbach. We are both avid upland game and waterfowl hunters (okay, so
Pete is a little more avid!) and we both enjoy the companionship of our
Labradors both in and out of the field. A guest to our home will be greeted
in the drive by more than a dozen wagging tails. We take the breeding of our
Labradors very seriously, but our dogs are our pets first, and not just
“breeding stock.” They are not confined to the kennel but are both house
dogs and kennel dogs. There are as comfortable in the kennels as they are on
the bed or the couch. (Okay, they’re Labradors; they really do prefer the
bed!) At any given time our dogs can be found swimming in the river,
sleeping on the couch, dozing on the porch, or lounging in their kennels… |
Where we are:
Granite Ridge Kennels is located on 9 acres in northeast Wisconsin in a
small town named Mountain. Our property sits on top of a beautiful ridge of
granite overlooking the pristine Oconto River.

| Unless of course it’s hunting season…This past fall
our labs made a trip to Manitoba for Canadian honkers, snow geese, lessors,
ducks and grouse. They came home and rested for a few days and then made three
back to back trips to North Dakota, South Dakota and Iowa for pheasants. And of
course they live in northeast Wisconsin and can hunt grouse and duck just
outside their back door. To say that our life has gone to the dogs is a
compliment indeed!
